Abstract

808,450. Cable terminals. BEDDOW, V. J. Aug. 14, 1957 [Sept. 3, 1956], No. 26806/56. Class 38 (1). A cable terminal 2 having a tapered bore 3 is secured to the tapered terminal post 1 of a battery by an insulating nut 4 engaging a threaded spigot 8 on the post and having an annular shoulder 5 which projects into a recess formed by the connector at the top of the post, said recess being filled with corrosionresisting material 12 which is placed under pressure by the shoulder 5. Sealing rings 10, 9 are located above and below the connector and are compressed by the nut.
