807,049. Compressors. TERROT, H. and KUNEMUND, F. [trading as TERROT SÍHNE MASCHINEN-FABRIK, C.] July 4, 1956 [Aug. 3, 1955 ; April 19, 1956], No. 20769/56. Class 8(1). [Also in Group VIII] Reciprocation of nearly_out-of-phase pistons 7a, 7b, Fig. 2 in bores 2a, 2b in the marginal portion 2c of a rotating plate 2 supporting the needle disc 3, Fig. 1, of a a circular knitting machine (see Group VIII) is effected by abutment of piston rollers 7d against a stationary cam ring 4a. As shown piston 7a delivers air through a duct 9a, a sleeve 15a, Fig. 5 of an automatic three-way valve 10 carried by the plate 2, past a ball valve 19 and up a vertical bore 14, Fig. 6 leading to a nozzle 3b in the needle disc 3, whereas piston 7b draws air past an inlet valve 18b in a bore 12b of the valve 10, through a sleeve 15b and a duct 9b leading to the bore.
