806,942. Casting composite articles. SUNBEAM CORPORATION. March 16, 1955, No. 23991/57. Divided out of 806,941, [Group VIII]. Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (1). A method of making a lightweight soleplate for a sadiron comprises forming a composite sheet by bonding a sheet of metal, provided on one face with a number of projections, with its other face to a thin sheet of a harder metal, placing the composite sheet in a mould cavity with the projections extending upwardly into the cavity, the other face of the composite sheet engaging the bottom wall of the mould, and then pressure-casting lightweight metal against the face of the composite sheet having the said projections thereon. The subjectmatter of the Specification is identical with that of Specification 806,941 (Group VIII), which is referred to.
