Abstract

803,393. Model railway track. PRIOR, E. S., and PRIOR, K. D. Sept. 11, 1956 [Sept. 26, 1955], No. 27415/55. Class 132(3) Model railway track rails 3, which may be of nickel silver, are held on sleepers 1 by clips 4 made of strip metal, the ends of the clips being passed from beneath through pairs of slots 5 formed in some of the sleepers, e.g. every fifth one. The ends of the clips pass around the rail flanges 6 and are pressed inwardly or clamped down to secure the rails on the sleepers which are held in spaced relation by connecting members 2. The track may be curved by shortening one or more of the connecting members on one side, by cutting away a section or sections intermediate the sleepers. According to the Provisional Specification, the clips may be of spring type, the rails then being held in position solely by friction grip. Specifications 603,814, 614,228, 642,220 and 695,224 are referred to.
