Class 44 In a suction cup assembly including a suction cup 14 and a dished rigid backing disc 17 substantially covering the outer surface of the cup, the latter is formed with a boss 15 which 'has a diametral hole 16 therein to receive a trunnion pin or the like 13 on the article to be supported, and the backing disc is formed with a sleeve 18 fitting closely around the boss of the cup to limit deformation thereof, the sleeve being notched or apertured for the passage of the trunnion pin or the like. As shown, two such assemblies are used to support a sun visor 10 which is provided with laterally projecting ears 11 carrying the trunnions 13.
