801,043. Conveyers for handling cans. MATHER & PLATT, Ltd. March 4, 1957 [March 12, 1956]. No. 7611/56. Class 78 (1). In a conveyer system for changing cans from the end-on to the rolling position a pair of endless parallel belts 4 which are inclined upwardly are passed over terminal pulleys 5 of small diameter in relation to the speed of the belts so that the cans are projected forward through the air to strike a plate 8 at the far side of a shoot 9 down which the cans fall in succession on to a transverse conveyer 10 where they travel in the rolling position. The belts 4 receive the cans from a conveyer 2 moving at a slower speed than belts 4 so that the cans are spaced.
