Abstract

4 - Benzoylacetamido - 3 - methoxy - (21:41 - di - ter.-amylphenoxy)-acetanilide is prepared by heating together in glacial acetic acid containing anhydrous sodium acetate 2:4-di-tert.-amylphenoxyacetyl chloride and a -benzoyl-4-amino-2-methoxyacetanilide hydrochloride. a - Benzoyl - 2 - methoxy - 4 - nitroacetanilide is prepared by refluxing together in xylene 2-methoxy-4-nitroaniline and ethyl benzoylacetate. a -Benzoyl-2-methoxy-5-nitroacetanilide, a - (m - nitrobenzoyl) - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - (p - nitrobenzoyl) - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - (4 - nitrobenzoyl) - 2 - octadecyloxyacetanilide, and 2 - {3 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - 5 - nitrobenzamido] - benzoyl} - 2 - methoxyacetanilide are similarly prepared. a - Benzoyl - 5 - amino - 2 - methoxyacetanilide is prepared by reducing a -benzoyl-2-methoxy-5-nitroacetanilide in ethanol with hydrogen i presence of Raney nickel. a -(p-Aminobenzoyl)-2 - methoxyacetanilide, and a - {4 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - 5 - aminobenzamido] - benzoyl} - 2 - methoxyacetanilide are similarly prepared. a - Benzoyl - 5 - [a - [2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - butyramido] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide is prepared by reacting together a -benzoyl-5-amino-2-methoxyacetanilide hydrochloride and a -(2:4-di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - n - butyryl chloride. a - Benzoyl - 5 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxyacetamido) - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - [3 - (a - 2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxyacetamido) - benzoyl] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - [4 - (a - 2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxyacetamidobenzoyl)] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - [4 - (a - 3:5 - dicarbomethoxyphenoxyacetamido) - benzoyl] - 2 - octadecyloxyacetanilide, a - benzoyl - 4 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert.-amylphenoxy) - 5 - (2:4 - dicarbomethoxymethoxybenzamido) - benzamido] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - benzoyl - 4 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy)-5 - (3:5 - dicarbomethoxyphenylcarbamylvaleramido) - benzamido] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, a - {4 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy)] - 5 - [a - (3:5 - dicarbomethoxyphenoxyacetamido) - benzamido] - benzoyl} - 2 - methoxyacetanilide, and a - {3 - [a - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - butyramido] - benzoyl} - 2 - methoxyacetanilide are similarly prepared. a - (m - Aminobenzoyl) - 2 - methoxyacetanilide is prepared by reducing a -(m-nitrobenzoyl)-2-methoxyacetanilide with sodium sulphide. a - Benzoyl - 4 - amino - 2 - methoxyacetanilide is prepared by reducing a -benzoyl-2-methoxy-4-nitroacetanilide with iron and acetic acid. a - (4 - Aminobenzoyl) - 2 - octadecyloxyacetanilide, and a - benzoyl - 4 - [2 - (2:4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - 5 - aminobenzamido] - 2 - methoxyacetanilide are similarly prepared.
