800,057. Camouflaging covering for helmets. EKMAN & BRUNDIN, July 2, 1956 [July 5, 1955], No. 20402/56. Class 63 A camouflaging covering for helmets comprises an open-work plastic foil. Polyvinyl chloride foil containing plasticizing agents to enable it to remain flexible at low temperatures and containing flamequenching substances such as antimony oxide is cut to substantially oval shape and is punched with an irregular pattern of apertures preferably with the punched-out portions remaining attached to the foil. A portion of the foil is intended to hang down over the neck and the back part of the head for protection against war gas and radiation, and this portion is not provided with apertures but may be reinforced with another foil or coating or may be made entirely from another material A suitable surface may be obtained by spraying a plastic solution on to the covering in such manner as to provide a dull, coarse finish.
