Abstract

A lubricating composition, in the form of a paste for facilitating the forging of metals, comprises petroleum base lubricating grease, powdered graphite and very fine spherical particles of a refractory material such as glass or porcelain. The spherical particles should be of a size between 1 mm. and 1 micron in diameter.
