Abstract
797,085. Locating conductors. TELEDICTOR, Ltd. April 3, 1956 [May 6, 1955], No. 13125/55. Class 37. In apparatus for detecting the presence of metal, comprising an oscillator circuit including a valve 16 to the grid of which is connected a first sensing coil 11 which is coaxial with, axially displaced from, and inductively coupled to, a second sensing coil 12 located in a tuned circuit incorporating a variable capacitor 13 and a damping resistor 14, the passage of a metal object through the two sensing coils 11, 12 stops oscillation in the oscillator circuit, thus energizing a relay 15 in the anode circuit of the valve 16. The apparatus may be used in conjunction with a device for counting metal objects.
