Abstract

The procedure of the parent Specification is modified by packing the tea in a material, e.g. wrapping paper, coated or impregnated with the benzoic acid. Preferably there is in the material at least 0.4 per cent of benzoic acid on the weight of tea. A suitable impregnating solution contains at least 20 per cent of benzoic acid in a mixture of 4 volumes of isopropyl alcohol to 1 of water.
