Abstract

A nematocidal composition containing as active ingredient an aliphatic or aromatic thiocyano compound or a thiocyano carboxylic acid ester in aqueous emulsion or suspension or mixed with a solid carrier. Wetting or dispersing agents may be added to the compositions if they are to be sprayed on to the ground or on to plants. Solid carriers include talcum, bentonite, powdered calcium carbonate and clay. A long list of active compounds is specified, including a -thiocyanate ethyl acetate, g -chloropropyl thiocyanate, phenoxyethyl thiocyanate, b ,b 1-dithiocyanate ethyl ether and b -chloro-b 1-thio-cyanate ethyl ether.
