Abstract

791,182. Spools for ink ribbons &c. GUNTHER WAGNER VERWALTUNGS GES. March 22, 1956, No. 8991/56. Class 100(4) A spool for an ink ribbon &c. has an axial projection at least at one side and a recess at the opposite side so that when a number of identical spools are arranged axially side by side the projections and recesses of adjacent spools engage and the surfaces 4 of the spools on which the ribbons are to be wound are in contact. Inner and outer cylinder parts 5, 6 may be joined by a bridge 1 of S (Fig. 3), U (Fig. 7), V, Z, or I (Fig. 4), section, projecting at both sides 2 and 3 (as in Figs. 1, not shown, and 4), or at one side only (as in Fig. 7). Holes 7 may be provided for engagement with a driving member. A wide ribbon may be cut into strips and each strip wound on to an individual spool assembled as in Fig. 3.
