Abstract

791,020. Incubators. EQUIPRO CORPORATION. Feb. 24, 1956, No. 5877/56. Class 5(2). A portable incubator, particularly for bacteriological preparations, comprises a housing 10 having one wall hinged to form a door 12 and having fixed to the wall opposite the door a pair of U-shaped shelves 11 which are spaced from the remaining two sides of the incubator. An air heating and circulating unit is incorporated in the base of the incubator and comprises a motor 16, a fan 17 and baffles 18 and 19, whereby the air is directed from one side of the incubator around the motor jacket and is discharged vertically upwards along the other side of the incubator. The door of the incubator is formed with a magnetic handle 13 which fits between and contacts adjacent shelves as indicated in Fig. 3, thus acting as a magnetic bridge between the shelves.
