Abstract
790,814. Winding yarns; bobbins. OFFICINA MECCANICA BRUEGGER SOC. PER AZIONI. March 9, 1956 [March 10, 1955], No. 7385/56. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) Cop cones are fed to the winding spindle of a winding machine by apparatus comprising a magazine for a plurality of cones having means for feeding them one at a time to a receiver which is adapted to convey each core in turn to a supporting device which presents the core to the winding spindle and which is provided with magnetic means for retaining the core by the attraction of a magnetizable element secured to the core. A core A rotated by a spindle 12 is held by a magnetizable disc on its base on a magnet 26 in a socket 24 freely rotatable on bearings 25 in a bush 22 slidable under the action of a spring 37 in a sleeve 20 mounted on a carriage 10 slidable on rods 14. 16. When a cop has been completed, the spindle 12 is stopped and a shaft 44 rotated, e.g. bv a cam, thus rotating a lever 42 and arm 60 and bringing a stop 50 against the rod 16 to prevent movement of the carriage 10. A roller 40 on the lever 42 causes an arm 36 to pivot and through a pin and slot connection 38 34, rotate the bush 22 in the sleeve 20 and by abutment of the core A on the sleeve 20 release the core from the magnet 26. The movement of the arm 60 brings a receiver consisting of a shaped plate 66 and spring blade 70 and containing a fresh core A, from below a magazine 74 towards the sleeve 20. At the same time a feed lever 88 disengages from a lever 82 so that a trough 78 at the base of the magazine 74 is rotated by a spring 84 through half a turn so that a new core A falls into the trough 78. The spindle 12 is now caused to move away from the sleeve 20 and withdrawn from the cop B so that the cop falls for example into a collecting shoot. The shaft 44 now rotates further and causes the receiver to bring the fresh core A into alignment with the socket 24. The roller 40 moves along the arm 36 and runs off the end, when the spring 37 returns, the parts to the position illustrated and the new core A is attracted and held by the magnet 26. The shaft 44 now returns to its initial position, which removes the stop 50 and allows the carriage 10 to move under the action of a counterweight on a chain 18 towards the spindle 12. The lever 42 and arm 60 return to the position illustrated, and the lever 88 engages the lever 82 to invert the trough 78 and discharge the core A therein into the receiver. The core is engaged on the spindle 12 and winding recommences.
