788,833. Radio-therapy. HENSCHKE, U. K. Feb. 24, 1956 [Feb. 24, 1955], No. 5927/56. Class 81 (2). [Also in Group XX] A carrier for radio-active material for the treatment of animals consists of a flexible band 1 to be secured around the animal's leg, with means on its periphery for the attachment of a number of tubes 2 spaced from the leg which receive capsules containing radio-active material. The tubes 2 may have hooks 5 engaging holes 6 in the band 1 or they may fit into pockets formed integrally with or attached to the band. The tubes are spaced from the animal's leg by a spacer ring 10 formed in sections 10<SP>1</SP> and made of felt or foam rubber; alternatively the spacer ring 10 may be located between the band 1 and the tubes 2. Each tube receives a sealed cylindrical radiumcontaining capsule, which is inserted by long. forceps and screwed or clipped into position. The band 1 may be replaced by several narrower bands.
