788,620. Cycle handles. MILTON, J. A. April 27, 1956 [Aug. 8, 1955], No. 22720/55. Class 136(3) A handlebar grip for a motordriven bicycle has an electric switch 5 mounted in a socket 4 formed in a flange 3 of the grip adjacent the inner end. The grip is formed from polyvinyl chloride. The switch 5 operated by a button 6 of luminous material is pressed into the socket 4 from the inside of the grip and is held in position by a cover 7. The switch has an electric contact strip 8 which extends along the inner surface of the grip. A single core cable 9 extends through a hole 10 in the inner face of the flange 3 for connection to the horn of the motor cycle. The switch mechanism is substantially waterproof since it is completely enclosed within the grip with only the operating member projecting. More than one switch may be mounted in the flange 3.
