Abstract

<PICT:0785815/III/1> In a gas analysis apparatus, wherein the gas mixture is reacted or absorbed in stages, the reaction chambers are connected in series by capillary tubes and the volume of conveying liquid required to force the gas past a measuring mark associated with each chamber is used as a measure of the gas in the mixture reacted or absorbed at each stage. Gas from collecting chamber 23 is forced successively through reaction or absorption chambers 1, 2 and 4 by a conveying liquid. The volumes of liquid required to force the gas past the marks 14-16 respectively are a measure of the volume of the gas at each stage and this volume of liquid is measured by the movement of piston 27 recorded on dial 32.
