Abstract

A stable supplement for feeding stuffs containing vitamins A and/or D and trace minerals normally destructive thereto is made by granulating the trace minerals, exemplified by Fe, Cu, Mn, Co, I or their compounds, with a binding agent to a particle size of between 30 and 16 mesh, the binding agent being a gum, e.g. acacia gum, gum sandarac; sugar, e.g. sugar syrup, liquid glucose, molasses; or analogous material, e.g. dextrin, starch, alone or in admixture, in solution or as a dispersion, and mixing the granulated minerals with a product containing vitamins A and/or D in solid particulate form.
