Abstract

784,043. Insulators. FIORAVANTI, J. E. F. March 1, 1956 [March 2, 1955], No. 6463/56. Addition to 726,171. Class 36. The insulator described in the parent Specification is modified by the provision of recesses in the sides of the groove 8 which provide a channel 3 which is wider than the channel 9 at the lower end of the groove. Alternatively or additionally upwardly extending recesses may be formed in the portions of the channel 9 adjacent the groove 8, and similar recesses may be formed in the channel 3 (Fig. 3). The hollow stem may have parallel grooves 7 which increase its resilience and a cylindrical upper surface 6. A reinforcing collar 5 may be located in tie wire groove 4.
