[Also in Group XXVIII] An apparatus for aerating and filtering water in an aquarium 12 comprises a syphon 13 through which water passes to chamber 10 containing a filtering medium 11, the water flows through conduit 17 and is aerated and raised by air supplied through a diffuser stone 21, supported wholly within chamber 20, to return the water to the aquarium.
