Abstract
780,680. Watch-cleaning machines. LANZETTEC, S. May 22, 1956 [June 30, 1955], No. 18875/55. Class 139 In a machine for cleaning watch parts or the like the basket 14, Fig. 1, and its driving motor 13 are carried by a bracket 20 which is slidably mounted on a vertical tubular column 2 extending from a baseplate 5. The three jars 9 containing the cleaning liquid and a drying jar 9<SP>1</SP> are located in holes 7 in a cover 6 attached to the base-plate 5. Within the tubular column 2 is a block 18, Fig. 5, which is supported by a spring 19 and has a pin 16 which passes through a slot 15 in the column 2 and engages one of four equally spaced notches 21, Fig. 1, in the bottom of the bracket 20 which is thereby supported by the spring 19. The bracket 20 may be clamped to the column 2 during "spinning off" by a pin locking device, Fig. 3 (not shown). A motor 30, Fig. 5, controlled by a switch 34 actuates switches for periodically reversing the direction of rotation of the basket driving motor 13. A manually operable switch 13a, Fig. 1, may also effect this reversing. The heater element below the jar 9<SP>1</SP> is controlled by a switch 12.
