Abstract

779,732. Agricultural implements. WEXFORD ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Jan. 25, 1952 [April 27, 1951], No. 2080/52. Class 6(1). A plough for attachment to a tractor comprises two plough beams 1, 2 transversely slidable on a rigid frame 8 adjustably mounted on a tractor, an adjusting screw 54 connected between the frames 8 and one of the plough beams (beam 2) for adjusting both of the beams together transversely with respect to the frame and a second adjusting screw 33 connected between the two beams 1, 2 for adjusting the beams towards or away from each other. As shown the frame 8 is connected to links 16, 17 on the tractor by means of a shaft 5 carrying cranks 9, 10 relatively displaced by 180 degrees and the shaft 5 is adjusted by means of a screw 11 and handle 15. The screw 33 is provided with a handle 37 and the beams 1, 2 are telescopically connected at 30, 30<SP>1</SP>. A bar 41 carrying a depth wheel 46 is mounted on the beams 1, 2 and is rotated by means of a screw 47 and handle 53 to adjust the depth of ploughing.
