Abstract

779,609. Spray-producers. SIMON-CARVES, Ltd. Oct. 6,1955 [Oct. 14, 1954], No. 29655/54. Class 69 (3). In order to examine the distribution of liquid in a liquid spring, a row of cups A are placed therein and the liquid falling into each cup is conducted away through a flexible tube 3 to the inlet D of a measuring tube C. The upper end of each tube C is open, and the bottom is closed by a cork &c. through which passes a capillary tube E. The liquid level in each measuring tube rises until the liquid head is sufficient to produce a flow through the capillary tube equal to the flow from the associated cup. Each level is indicated by a float F and the measuring tubes may be suitably calibrated.
