[Also in Group X] A scraper for removing earth initially packed for the casting of a foundation comprises a chain 13, Fig. 13, with scraper discs 14, which is laid zig-zag fashion in the packed earth with one end hanging in a trench 2, Fig. 12, from which it is accessible by a workman who pulls the chain and earth away from under the floor 11 cast on the foundation 10.
