Abstract

Dental patterns are made from a composition prepared by mixing 2 to 70 parts of powdered dental wax, such as stearin or paraffin wax, with 98 to 30 parts of methyl methacrylate polymer and wetting the mixture with 30 to 100 parts of methyl methacrylate monomer so as to obtain a pasty mass which can be poured and which hardens through polymerization of the methylmethacrylate. In examples, powdered polymethyl methacrylate containing a polymerization catalyst is mixed with powdered stearin, powdered dammar resin and methyl methacrylate monomer.
