Abstract

In the dyeing of cellulosic textiles wherein the material is impregnated with a solution of a soluble inorganic iron salt, if desired in admixture with other soluble inorganic metallic salts, and treated with an alkaline solution to precipitate the metallic hydroxides or basic salts, deeper shades are obtained by heating the dried dyed material for a few minutes at a temperature above 120 DEG C.
