Class 56 In a glass-drawing apparatus wherein, during drawing from the molten bath, sheets 5, tubes or rods are coated on a part or whole of their surface with a transparent or opaque glass or coloured enamel, an electric radiator 19 is provided which is screened on one side to heat locally a selected portion of the lower region of the drawing chamber without affecting the other parts of the chamber. It is particularly for heating that part of the chamber into which the enamel &c. 17 flows. The position. and degree of heating of the radiator may be adjusted, and the screened side of the radiator may be combined with the usual water coolers.
