Abstract
A building material consists of natural and/or industrial residuals and a chemical combination of a hexafluoride with a colloidal alkaline tetrasilicate. Residuals specified are from quarrying sandstone, limestone, magnesian limestone, granite, syenite, basalt, whinstone, marble, alabaster and slate; lava; trass; gravel; shingle; brick, ceramic and stone debris; weathered concrete; desulphurised blast furnace slag; sand; sand from glass polishing; fly-ash; residual shale after extraction of oil; and washings from china clay workings. Shapes formed from the material are dried in a carbon dioxide atmosphere and then sprayed with a silicone water repellent.
