Class 100(4) Apparatus for feeding continuous stationery in a tabulator or like machine comprises a control disc 7 which is rotated in amounts corresponding to the feed movement imparted to the stationery, and is provided with at least one circumfereritial groove 10, not shown, in which one or more cams 13, 13a are adjustably mounted, for engagement with switches, which when operated by the cams actuate mechanism to control the feed of the stationery or perform some other operation on the stationery, for example, cut a form from it. The cams 13, 13a are clamped into position by plates 11; the right hand cams 13 engage switches 4 which when operated initiate a rapid feed to the stationery and this continues until cam 13a, on the other side of the control disc, operates a switch 5, whereupon the rapid feed ceases and a step-by-step line feed under the control of the tabulating machine occurs. There may be several rapid feeds for each form length and the rapid feed may occur from the end of printing on one form over to the commencement of printing on the first line of the succeeding form. To accommodate for different lengths of form, a gear wheel 17 coupling the disc to the tabulating machine may be interchanged by removing the disc from the shaft 24 by undoing a thumb screw 26. After replacing the control disc or when starting to type on a new form, the disc'is aligned by engagement of a stud 32a in a notch 30 in peri-, phery of plate 28 which rotates with disc 7. The Provisional Specification states that the switches may be mounted on hinged supports.
