775,141. Releasable fastenings. WILMOTBREEDEN, Ltd. Jan. 5, 1956 [Jan. 25, 1955], No. 2169/55. Class 44. Means for detachably mounting a cover 3 on a hollow hub 1 of a vehicle steering wheel comprises the combination of a flange 2 on the cover which can be introduced into the hub and a plurality of spring clips 4 adapted to embrace the flange of the cover at radially spaced intervals, the clips each being formed of strip metal bent to bifurcated form and having at least two oppositely directed integral tongues 4c formed in that limb which is adapted to lie between the flange and hub. The tongues 4c are of V-shape and are directed in opposite directions.
