Abstract

Stockings made from polyamide threads delustred with titanium dioxide have carbon black incorporated in the threads of parts of the foot portion, particularly the heel, so that when the stockings are dyed in one operation these parts assume a darker colour than the leg portion. The proportion of carbon black present in the polyamide threads is preferably 0.02-0.10 per cent by weight.
