774,447. Furniture joints. STOLL, F. A. E. [trading as STOLL, A. [Firm of] ]. May 20, 1955 [May 25, 1954], No. 14566/55. Class 52 (2). A joint between the swivel bearing 1 and the wooden feet 3 of a rotating chair has, for each foot 3, a pair of dowels 3 fixed diametrically in the bearing and engaging recesses 3a in the chair foot. A pin 4 is inserted in a pre-cut transverse recess in the foot 3, passing through transverse holes in the dowels 2, and, since the thickness of wood between the surface 3b of the foot and the transverse recess is slightly greater than the distance a between the transverse holes in the dowels and the swivel bearing, clamps the foot firmly in position.
