[Also in Group XIII] In a steam-turbine plant including a superheater 1, and a de-aerator 11, the steam pipe 2 between the superheater outlet and the turbine inlet valve 3 is provided at each end with drain pipes 5, 6 led to an auxiliary condenser 7 connected to the main condenser 8 and the deaerator has a steam coil 13 connected in a valvecontrolled circuit in parallel with the drain pipes whereby, during starting-up, the coil may be heated by surplus steam in the drain pipes. Condensate is pumped by the extraction pump 9 through a low-pressure heater 10 and the deaerator to the feed pump 12.
