773,633. Pipe cutters. PRESSED STEEL CO., Ltd. Aug. 24, 1955, No. 24394/55. Class 61. A pipe cutter comprises a steel bar 11 formed at one end with three or more chuck-like jaws to at least one of which is secured a rotary cutting tool 22, the jaws being forced together by a collar 17 movable freely on the bar 11 and operable by a nut 18 screwed to the bar. As shown a circular cutting tool 22 is secured to one jaw and freely rotatable rollers 23 are secured to the other jaws. The chamfered end 16 of the collar engages a cam surface on the back of each jaw when the collar is moved to close the chuck.
