Abstract
772,637. Optical-projection apparatus. ERNST, H., [trading as LIESEGANG, E.]. March 28, 1955 [April 1, 1954; Nov. 27, 1954], No. 8930/55. Class 97(1) A slide changing mechanism for an optical projector comprises an axially movable magazine and a transversely movable slider by which successive slides are moved from the magazine to the projection magazine and back again, the return movement of the slider moving the magazine forward in readiness for the feed of the next slide. In the form shown the sliding magazine is located in successive positions by notches 9 engaging a detent 10. The slider comprises a handle 2 and arms 3, 4 the latter of which pushes the slides from the magazine into the hollow member 1 containing the gate. The magazine has on its upper surface, transverse slots 6 each with a curved end portion 7. As the slider is retracted a portion, not shown, retracts the slide while a spring loaded pawl 5 engages one of the slots 6. After the slide is retracted the pawl enters the curved portion 7 to move the magazine. In a modification the handle 2 is pivoted to the slider and is coupled to the pawl to provide positive actuation thereof out of and into the slots 6 during forward and reverse movement of the slider.
