The invention relates to a reversible slider for slide fasteners of the kind comprising two guide wing portions 10, 20, having respectively an ear 15, and a pair of ears 25, adapted on assembly of the slider to inter-engage in male and female relation, and to be pivotally interconnected for separation of the wing portions on reversal of the slider. According to the invention, the pivotal interconnection 16 between the ears 15, 25, is located at a point offset from the plane of the opposing faces of the two guide wing portions 10, 20, in their closed position. The pivotal connection is formed by assembling the two portions 10, 20, and assembling die-punches on either side of the ears 25, concentrically with the pivot axis, and then punching the dies axially inward so as to drive respective plugs of metal from the two ears 25, into an aperture 16 already formed in the ear 15. The ears 25 are formed with U-shaped slots 26 which co-operate with a further hole 17 in the ear 15 to receive inwardly-projecting pins 41 formed on the pull tap 40 for connection of the latter to the slider. Tapered surfaces 18 on the ear 15 are provided to cause the pins 41 to be sprung apart in assembling the pull tab 40.
