Abstract

772,402. Transformers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 24, 1954], No. 24024/55. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVII] Transformer tap-changing switches 11, 12 are mounted in an insulating tube 10 parallel to the axis of the tapped winding inside the transformer casing 1. They are operated by rotation of shafts 18, 23 connected by bevel gears 22, by a handle near ground level under cover 37 (see Group XXXVII). Leads 13, 13 from the switches to the winding pass through holes 10a, 10b in the tube. The transformer core is held between clamps 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d.
