Abstract

772,168. Magnetic collecting apparatus. SPODIG, H. Aug. 3, 1955 [Aug. 4, 1954], No. 22318/55. Class 117 [Also in Group XXXV] A magnetic attracting and collecting device comprises two permanent magnet bars 1, 2 bridging two pole-pieces 3 and a surrounding arm frame 4, the free space between the frame being filled with non- magnetic material 7. In Fig. 1, the frame bottom is covered with a magnetic plate 6 and the pole-pieces 3 consist of angle iron arranged to provide a magnetic attractive surface at the centre of the device top surface. In Fig. 3, the polepieces are of U-section and they are arranged to provide attractive surfaces at the top and bottom surfaces of the device.
