771,718. Cooling plastic material; endless conveyers. MIDLAND SILICONES, Ltd. July 11, 1955 [Aug. 9, 1954], No. 20042/55. Class 78 (1). An apparatus for cooling plastic material comprises means 13 for continuously passing a thread 11 of molten plastic material on to an endless conveyer 4 provided with a plurality of transverse fins 9, the cooled material being collected in container 16 for crushing by hand into a powder. As shown, molten phenylmethyl-polysiloxane resin is discharged by the valve 13 from tank 12 and falls on to the fins 11 of endless belt 4, the latter discharging the resin against baffle 15 into container 16. The endless belt 4 is driven from motor 6 and is adjustable in inclination by means of thread 20 and eye 22.
