771,575. Swimming appliances. SCALES, K. R. Jan. 2, 1956 [Oct. 29, 1954], No. 31382/54. Class 77. An inflatable float or swimming aid is formed of two superposed crescent-shaped sheets 1, 2, Figs. 1, 2, of rubber or plastic material, the member 2 being larger than the member 1 so forming a marginal sealing edge 3 by which the sheet 2 is vulcanized to the sheet 1. A rubber inflating tube 4 receives a stopper 5 and has a bulbous portion 6 into which the tube is tucked when inflated, so that only the head 7 of the stopper protrudes. When the float is inflated the horns 8 overlap. The float may consist of a one-piece moulding.
