769,903. Refrigerating. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. June 29, 1955 [June 29, 1954]. No. 18837/55. Class 29 In a compression refrigerating system or heat pump containing two refrigerants, at one load one is circulated and the other stored and, when the load changes, the other is circulated and the previously-circulated one is'stored. In the position shown. refrigerant 20 is circulated by compressor 11 through condenser 12, a multi-way valve 13, pipe 16, receiver 18, pipe 22, right-hand valve 24 and evaporator 25. Refrigerant 19 is stored in a receiver 17. When the load changes, a control unit 14 closes the righthand valve 24 and, after compressor 11 has transferred all refrigerant 20 into receiver 18, moves the valve 13 and opens the lefthand valve 24. Thereafter refrigerant 19 is circulated and refrigerant 20 is stored until the load changes in the reverse direction.
