766,262. Wafer-baking apparatus. PAGE, A. C. Dec. 22, 1954 [Dec. 31, 1953; July 7, 1954; Aug. 3, 1954], Nos. 36332/53, 19894/54 and 22474/54. Class 28(1) In making edible wafers by carrying the batter between endless bands 10, 11 through an oven 12, the paths of the leading ends of the conveyer bands are continuously separated and brought together to allow charges of batter to be received and spread between the conveyer bands. Bands 10, 11, which are embossed on their co-operating surfaces, are locked together as they pass through oven 12 which may be heated by gas, oil or electrically heated oven. As shown, both ends 11a, 11b of the conveyer band 11 may be raised and lowered.
