Abstract

763,882. Resilient mountings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Jan. 4, 1955 [Jan. 4, 1954], No. 246/55. Class 108(3). [Also in Group XXXV] A resilient mounting for rotatable machinery comprises two concentric metal rings 8, 9 separated by a rubber annulus 11 having a number of axial apertures so shaped and located as seen in Fig. 2 that segments 14 are left as connectors between the inner and outer circular parts 13, 12 of the annulus 11. These parts 13, 12 are respectively bonded to the metal rings 8, 9. The area of each segment 14 near its connecting ends is smaller than any axial sectional area in the rear of the segment. Fig. 2 shows a complete resilient mounting 7 which can be mounted about each portion 4 of a motor 1 as in Fig. 1.
