Abstract

763,063. Dashpots. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Sept. 30, 1954 [June 30, 1953], No. 18165/53. Class 108(3). [Also in Group XXXVIII] Dashpots used in damping out vibrations of a torque meter (see Group XIX) comprise each a piston 89 in a cylinder 88, the ends of the piston being connected to the cylinder ends by metallic bellows 92, the bellows and cylinder enclosing liquid between them. The piston is deeply grooved for passage of liquid and has a rod connected to the shaft under test on which the meter is mounted, by sheet steel spiders 91, the cylinder being secured on parts of the meter subject to vibration.
