762,270. Wall-plugs. SEE, J. L. Dec. 30, 1954, No. 37677/54. Class 89 (1). [Also in Group XXII] A wall-plug comprises a rigid hollow-body 1, Fig. 1, with fins 4 greater in width than the greatest width of the body. The entering ends of the body and fins are sharpened and the body-end may be provided with spikes 3 to facilitate positioning of the plug on the wall surface prior to driving in. The fins may be curved helically to promote rotation of the plug during driving, and the body may contain a sleeve of fibre or resin. The plug may be made from two notched metal pieces 1b, 1c, Fig. 3, cut from strip and bent centrally so that they interfit to. form the body 1 with integral fins 4.
