Abstract

760,764. Scaffolding. NORDGARD, P. O. Oct. 6, 1954 [Oct. 9, 1953], No. 28809/54. Class 20(2) A junction member for locating scaffolding boards which cross each other transversely, comprises a plate 3 from which four arms 1 extend upwardly and four arms 2 extend downwardly, the arms 1 enclosing a square each side of which is equal to the thickness of a board to be located, and the arms 2 enclosing a rectangle the shorter sides of which are equal to the thickness of a board to be located, whilst the longer sides are equal to twice the thickness of a board to be located. Pairs of upwardly and downwardly extending arms 1, 2 may be formed integrally as a simple rod having a rectangular Z-bend. A pin 4 passing through the centre of the plate 1 is pointed at both ends to engage the boards to prevent them from sliding with respect to the plate.
