Abstract

760,459. Fencing. CHOWN, W. R. Aug. 29, 1955 [Nov. 10, 1954], No. 32476/54. Class 45. A dropper for a wire fencing comprises two lengths 12 of stiff wire twisted in the form of two entwined helices. The lengths are joined at their ends 13, and the dropper may be formed by bending a single length of wire about its mid-point to form two halves which are formed as helices one entwined around the other. To fix the dropper the free ends of the lengths are placed about the uppermost wire strand, the dropper is screwed down over all the wire strands 11, and the dropper is bent over the lowermost wire strand. A notched spacing member 14 may be used to hold the strands in spaced relationship whilst the dropper is fixed.
