A power pack for providing an A.C. output voltage when its input terminals are energized either from an A.C. source, or from any one of a number of different D.C. voltage sources, comprises a vibrator and associated tapped transformer for converting D.C. to A.C., and a number of relays connected across the input terminals of the pack, one relay being responsive only to A.C. and the others being responsive, respectively, to the different D.C. input voltages, these relays having different time delays to prevent their simultaneous operation when the higher voltage inputs are applied. An A.C. input causes. operation of the A.C. relay alone, operation of which directly connects the input and output terminals of the pack, opens the connection between the D.C. relays and the input terminals, and disconnects the output winding of the transformer from the output terminals of the pack. Application of D.C. voltage to the input terminals causes response of one or more of the D.C. relays which effect operation of the vibrator and selection of appropriate tappings on the primary of the transformer, the output winding of which is now connected to the output terminals of the pack over contacts of the unoperated A.C. relay.
