Abstract

754,688. Periscopes. POST, J. Sept. 22, 1954 [Nov. 23, 1953], No. 27419/54. Class 97 (1). A hand periscope comprises two shells 10, 11 telescopically slidable one into the other, each having an opening 18, 19 for the passage of light and an inclined mirror arranged opposite each of the said openings, the upper mirror 14 being set at an angle of 56¢ degrees to a plane normal to the longitudinal axis of the shells and the lower mirror 15 at an angle of 56“ degrees to the said plane. The shells may be rectangular and'the mirrors inserted therein through slots in the sides. A releasable catch may be provided to hold the shells in opened or closed position.
